  • When you have successfully submitted your order, a confirmation email and SMS will be sent to you. If you wish to switch your current number from HKBN/Birdie/Global Call to SmarTone, you’ll receive a SMS which contains a temporary number. The temporary number is used for number switching procedures only and replaced by your current number after switching to SmarTone on the contract effective date.
  • If you have selected to receive your SIM via delivery, please submit the required documents online by the designated date.
  • If you cannot subscribe to the service plan on or before the deadline, please contact our customer service hotline on 2155 3395 to rearrange the appointment. Otherwise, your order will be cancelled and the activation offer(s) / gift(s) will also be invalid. The advance payment will not be refunded.

Undergrad 5G Plan:
  • Applicant must be aged 18 or above and a full-time student of designated post-secondary education institutions in Hong Kong. Designated post-secondary education institutions in Hong Kong include accredited universities in Hong Kong, Caritas Institute of Higher Education, Caritas Bianchi College of Careers, Centennial College, Chu Hai College of High Education, Gratia Christian College, Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, HKCT Institute of Higher Education, Hong Kong College of Technology, HKU SPACE, Hong Kong Nang Yan College of Higher Education, Tung Wah College, Vocational Training Council or Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Also applicable to applicant aged 18 to 25 with valid overseas post-secondary education institutions student ID card. Valid student ID card and identity document must be presented upon registration for the Student Plan. Each identity document can only subscribe to the Student Plan once.
  • An admin fee of HK$18/month and a fixed term contract are required. (if applicable)
  • Call duration is rounded up to full charge units for computation purposes. Each full charge unit is based on a per minute airtime charge.
  • Intra SMS is text SMS sent within Hong Kong to SmarTone customers and is subject to a monthly quota of 500 Intra SMS units ("Quota"). If the usage exceeds the Quota, the thereafter charge is HK$0.3 per Intra SMS; charge per Inter-network SMS is HK$0.6. Each SMS is calculated on 160 English characters or 70 Chinese characters basis. If your message exceeds this limitation, it will be transmitted in form of multiple SMS.
  • Roaming charge & standard roaming data charge apply when roaming. Please ask our store assistants or visit our website for details.
  • 5G service plans are not applicable to 2G phones/ connected devices or any phones/ connected devices which have manually opted for 2G network. If the customer uses this plan on any 2G phones/ connected devices or any phones/ connected devices which have manually opted for 2G network, any charges which may incur will be borne by the customer. Actual data transmission speeds may vary due to Internet traffic conditions, local conditions, hardware, software and other conditions which may arise.
  • Plans are not applicable to BlackBerry smartphones with BlackBerry 7 OS and earlier versions.

Chinese Mainland & Macau Data Offer:
  • Customers may choose to purchase a designated Chinese Mainland & Macau data service offer with a designated promotion monthly fee upon subscription of a designated service plan under fixed-term contract. A fixed-term contract of the Chinese Mainland & Macau data service (concurrently with designated service plan) is also required to enjoy the offer. Chinese Mainland & Macau data service shall start and follow the service effective date of the designated monthly plan. Each designated contract subscription is entitled to the offer once only.
1GB Chinese Mainland & Macau Roaming Data Pack (the Package):
  • The Package is calculated based on the original monthly fee HK$40, after a rebate of HK$10 per month has been given to the customer within contract period.
  • The monthly data allowance of the Package can be used in both Chinese Mainland and Macau.
  • Customers who choose the Package must sign a contract term that is the same as their monthly plan. If the customer's current monthly plan does not have a contract term, they must sign a 12-month contract term when choosing the Pack.
  • Unless otherwise specified by the Customer, the Package will continue to be provided to the Customer after expiry and will charge the monthly fee of the Package at the time of contract term expiration.
  • The Customer who subscribes the Package should also activate "Data Roaming Day Pass" at the same time. When travelling in Chinese Mainland and Macau, please enable the data roaming feature on the mobile phone to enjoy the Pack.
  • When the Customer is within the location of any of the overseas destinations other than Chinese Mainland and Macau, the daily roaming data usage will be charged by "Data Roaming Day Pass" subscribed by the Customer. For details of "Data Roaming Day Pass", service fee, terms and conditions, please visit smartone.com/T&CI025C .
  • Whenever the data usage of the Package nearly reaches the specified data usage within the location of Chinese Mainland and Macau, the Company will notify the Customer by SMS. The Customer may reply by SMS to purchase additional data usage at the charge as specified in the SMS received. If the Customer does not reply to purchase the additional data usage, any subsequent data roaming usage will be deducted from your purchased other roaming products. If no other product is available, you will be charged at a fixed rate.   • Any unused monthly data allowance and top-up data of the Package will be forfeited at the end of billing month.
  • The Package cannot be subscribed in conjunction with certain designated service plans. These include, but are not limited to designated DataRoam services, Greater Bay Area Easy Pack, Chinese Mainland Macau Data Pack. Please note that the designated service plans that are incompatible with the "Chinese Mainland & Macau Data Service" may undergo periodic changes without prior notice. Flexi Switch is not applicable for "Chinese Mainland & Macau Data Service".
  • The Package is charged on a monthly basis. The monthly charges for the first month will be charged on a pro-rata basis from the service effective date to the first bill date. The monthly charges are payable in advance and non-refundable under whatever circumstances.

SmarTone Membership Programme and Privilege︰

Terms and Conditions for Free APAC 4 Days Multi-day Roaming Data Pass ("this Offer"):
  • This Offer is calculated based on the original charge HK$148, after a rebate of HK$148 has been given to the customer.
  • To enjoy this Offer, Data Roaming Day Pass and Roaming service must be activated / switched at the same time.
  • The Data Pass provided by this Offer shall be valid for 3 months from the day of successful purchase. 1 Data Pass can be deducted to offset 1 daily charge of Data Roaming Day Pass at designated destinations. Data Pass is not required to be used on consecutive days.
  • When daily data usage reaches 1.2GB in a destination, the data speed will be capped at 512kbps. An SMS notification will be sent to the customer, who may reply to the SMS to purchase additional full speed roaming data.
  • (If applicable) If a customer purchases other Data Pass (regardless of the region(s) and purchase dates), the validity period of all Data Passes will be extended to the latest expiry date. For the validity period, please refer to the SmarTone CARE App or check with our service assistant.
  • (If applicable) If customer has purchased more than one Data Pass for different groups of destinations, then priority of deduction will be according to the location of actual use as follows: 1) Chinese Mainland/Macau Roaming Data Pass, 2) Asia Pacific Roaming Data Pass, 3) Worldwide Roaming Data PassThe unused Data Pass will be automatically forfeited after the expiry date. If the number of days of Data Roaming Day Pass used by the customer exceeds the number of Data Pass owned by the customer; or if the customer uses Data Roaming Day Pass in non-designated destinations, the customer will be charged at the regular price of Data Roaming Day Pass.
  • (Family Plan/ Designated 5G Service Plan) This Offer is only available to main SIM mobile number under designated service plan. Upon successful purchase of this Offer, all registered mobile numbers under the same service plan must activate / switch on Data Roaming Day Pass and Roaming service to enjoy Data Pass upon subscription from main SIM. If 2 mobile numbers under the same service plan use Data Pass at the same time, 2 days would be deducted from the Data Pass.

  • The company reserves the right to vary, modify or terminate the contents of this Offer, as well as to amend any of the relevant terms and conditions from time to time without prior notice. The company's decision and record shall be final in case of any dispute.
  • Monthly fee HK$109 is based on the original monthly fee HK$138 for 5G Student Plan, after a rebate of HK$29 per month credited to the customer during the contract period. After expiry of the contract, the customer will be charged at the prevailing comparable plan if the customer continues to use the service.

  • Thereafter charge for local data HK$30/5GB or HK$60/5G Unlimited Data (data speed up to 1Mbps) will be charged on 'Advise and Consent' basis. 'Advise and Consent' basis: At any time when the local data usage on a plan nearly reaches the monthly allowance, an SMS notification will be sent to the customer. The customer may reply to the SMS to purchase a top-up that will be valid until the end of this bill month. If no top-up is purchased, data service will be suspended when the data usage has reached the allowance. Customer may purchase a top-up at any time to resume service, or wait until the beginning of the next bill month to commence service again with the new monthly data allowance. (if applicable)
  • Administration Fee Waiver Offer: Customer can enjoy Administration Fee Waiver offer starting from the first bill month within the contract period; the period between service activation day and first bill day will be charged on a pro-rate basis based on the original charge. Administration Fee Waiver offer is calculated based on the original HK$18 per month, after a rebate of HK$18 per month has been given to the customer within the contract period. At the end of the rebate period, the customer will be charged at the prevailing Administration Fee if the customer continues to use the service.

  • Other services included: 500 Intra SMS, voicemail, call forwarding, caller number display, call waiting and conference call.

  • The unlimited data usage under "Anytime Music" is only applicable to the local data usage incurred by listening to music within the designated music streaming apps on smartphone. Data usage incurred by apps download, software update, account registration and login, advertisement, upload, download and live video, non-music contents (including but not limited to the text, images, header files, app analytics, using in- app location based features, and any video/music streamed over VPN) within the designated apps are excluded. When the monthly local data allowance of the plan has been fully consumed and the data service is suspended, the "Anytime Music" service will also be suspended until next bill month and will only be resumed once the customer purchases data top-up options.

    Anytime Music Service Rebate: Subscription to Anytime Music is required within the contract period. Customer can enjoy a monthly rebate for Anytime Music under a designated Plan, the amount of rebate is based on the monthly service charge at the time of service subscription. The rebate on the first bill month and/or the last bill month will be credited on a pro-rate basis based on the number of days of usage during the bill cycle (If applicable). The rebate amount in a bill month will not be greater than the monthly service charge. At the end of the rebate period, the prevailing comparable service will be charged if the customer continues to use the service.

1GB Chinese Mainland & Macau Roaming Data Pack (the Package):
  • The Package is calculated based on the original monthly fee HK$40, after a rebate of HK$10 per month has been given to the customer within contract period.
  • The monthly data allowance of the Package can be used in both Chinese Mainland and Macau.
  • Customers who choose the Package must sign a contract term that is the same as their monthly plan. If the customer's current monthly plan does not have a contract term, they must sign a 12-month contract term when choosing the Pack.
  • Unless otherwise specified by the Customer, the Package will continue to be provided to the Customer after expiry and will charge the monthly fee of the Package at the time of contract term expiration.
  • The Customer who subscribes the Package should also activate "Data Roaming Day Pass" at the same time. When travelling in Chinese Mainland and Macau, please enable the data roaming feature on the mobile phone to enjoy the Pack.
  • When the Customer is within the location of any of the overseas destinations other than Chinese Mainland and Macau, the daily roaming data usage will be charged by "Data Roaming Day Pass" subscribed by the Customer.   • Whenever the data usage of the Package nearly reaches the specified data usage within the location of Chinese Mainland and Macau, the Company will notify the Customer by SMS. The Customer may reply by SMS to purchase additional data usage at the charge as specified in the SMS received. If the Customer does not reply to purchase the additional data usage, any subsequent data roaming usage will be deducted from your purchased other roaming products. If no other product is available, you will be charged at a fixed rate.   • Any unused monthly data allowance and top-up data of the Package will be forfeited at the end of billing month.
  • The Package cannot be subscribed in conjunction with certain designated service plans. These include, but are not limited to designated DataRoam services, Greater Bay Area Easy Pack, Chinese Mainland Macau Data Pack. Please note that the designated service plans that are incompatible with the "Chinese Mainland & Macau Data Service" may undergo periodic changes without prior notice. Flexi Switch is not applicable for "Chinese Mainland & Macau Data Service".
  • The Package is charged on a monthly basis. The monthly charges for the first month will be charged on a pro-rata basis from the service effective date to the first bill date. The monthly charges are payable in advance and non-refundable under whatever circumstances.

  • This Offer is calculated based on the original charge HK$148, after a rebate of HK$148 has been given to the customer.
  • To enjoy this Offer, Data Roaming Day Pass and Roaming service must be activated / switched at the same time.
  • The Data Pass provided by this Offer shall be valid for 3 months from the day of successful purchase. 1 Data Pass can be deducted to offset 1 daily charge of Data Roaming Day Pass at designated destinations. Data Pass is not required to be used on consecutive days.

  • Administration Fee Waiver Offer: Customer can enjoy Administration Fee Waiver offer starting from the first bill month within the contract period; the period between service activation day and first bill day will be charged on a pro-rate basis based on the original charge. Administration Fee Waiver offer is calculated based on the original HK$18 per month, after a rebate of HK$18 per month has been given to the customer within the contract period. At the end of the rebate period, the customer will be charged at the prevailing Administration Fee if the customer continues to use the service.

  • Other services included: 500 Intra SMS, voicemail, call forwarding, caller number display, call waiting and conference call.

  • The unlimited data usage under "Anytime Music" is only applicable to the local data usage incurred by listening to music within the designated music streaming apps on smartphone. Data usage incurred by apps download, software update, account registration and login, advertisement, upload, download and live video, non-music contents (including but not limited to the text, images, header files, app analytics, using in- app location based features, and any video/music streamed over VPN) within the designated apps are excluded. When the monthly local data allowance of the plan has been fully consumed and the data service is suspended, the "Anytime Music" service will also be suspended until next bill month and will only be resumed once the customer purchases data top-up options.

    Anytime Music Service Rebate: Subscription to Anytime Music is required within the contract period. Customer can enjoy a monthly rebate for Anytime Music under a designated Plan, the amount of rebate is based on the monthly service charge at the time of service subscription. The rebate on the first bill month and/or the last bill month will be credited on a pro-rate basis based on the number of days of usage during the bill cycle (If applicable). The rebate amount in a bill month will not be greater than the monthly service charge. At the end of the rebate period, the prevailing comparable service will be charged if the customer continues to use the service.
